To provide more information for each star you can exchange the "Hubble ( 7-9)" file that gets installed when you install Starry Night for "SAO 2.1 (7-9)". The Hubble file (which is the default) will not provide all the information that is found in the SAO file but it uses less RAM.
If you do a minimum install of Starry Night or want to save a small amount of extra disk space you can remove the "Hubble ( 7-9)" from your data folder and make an alias to the 7-9 file on the CD-ROM.
